Chapman Financial takes first at NHHS golf tourney

POST FALLS — June 16 was a "perfect day" for golf as 25 foursomes enjoyed the sun while supporting Newport Hospital and Health Services Foundation’s 16th annual Fore! the Health of It! Golf Tournament at The Highlands Golf Course.
The annual fund-raiser continues to reign as one of the Foundation’s highest grossing events, represented by platinum event co-sponsors Kalispel Tribe of Indians, Kalispel Casino and Albeni Falls Building Supply.
Support for the tournament was evident, and funds grossed over $29,000, the second-highest total in tournament history. The 18-hole scramble included dinner, followed by an awards ceremony.
Tournament winners included: first place, Chapman Financial (Todd Chapman, Shay Chapman, Cameron Marks, Russell Marks); second place, Albeni Falls Building Supply No. 1 (Jason Landen, Matt Dieter, Ryan Dieter, Mike Sandau); third place, Keith Bell, Tracy Skay, Cody Skay, Hunter Lieberg; women’s long drive, Shelby Walker; men’s long drive, Kyle Ham; women’s closest to pin, Staici West; men’s closest to pin, Gordy Cook; and longest putt, Mike Butterfield.
In support of the district’s mission, the Foundation raises money for needed healthcare equipment, supplies, healthcare delivery, and overall community health and education.
Funds raised in 2023 promote and support Foundation programs, including capital equipment purchases for the district, employee higher education opportunities and community health education programs for local children (Healthy Kids Snack Bags and Reach Out & Read).
