State of the Scotchmans 2023 announced

Friends of Scotchman Peaks Wilderness are hosting its annual State of the Scotchmans event Saturday.

The event will update the public on the work that has happened over the past year in the Scotchmans as well as the organization’s plans for the area in the upcoming year.

Burgers and hotdogs will be grilled, live music will be playing and plenty of desserts will be available for guests to enjoy.

Raffles and a cornhole tournament will also take place during the event.

Among the raffle items are a plane ride over the Scotchmans, original art, a backpacking bear safety kit and more.

John Hastings and Sandy Compton will be playing music throughout the evening.

The event will take place from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Blue C Ranch, 127 Highway 200 in Heron, Mont.
