12U All-stars defeated by CDA, look forward to Lakeland, Post Falls

The 12U Sandpoint Little League All-stars were defeated by Coeur d’Alene 12-0 on Friday at the Canfield Sports Complex in CDA. The team is now 3-1 in District 1 pool play.

Sandpoint and CDA were the only two all-star teams that were undefeated heading into Friday’s matchup. CDA took control of the lead early going up 6-0 after two innings and continued to add to their lead as the game continued.

Sandpoint’s Mac Peters recorded the team’s only hit; he also pitched four innings for the all-stars giving up just one earned run and striking out six batters.

The 12U SLL All-stars are still very much alive. The team will face Lakeland on Saturday and Post Falls on Sunday. With victories in those two matches, the all-stars will secure their spot in the District 1 championship — which is a best-of-three series.
