Paul Edward McGregor, 74, passed away Thursday, July 13, 2023, at his home in Clark Fork, Idaho.

A military funeral will be held at the Clark Fork cemetery at 1 p.m. July 23. A celebration of life will be held following the funeral at the McGregor home at 2:30 p.m.

Paul was born July 14, 1948, in Eugene, Ore., to Raymond and Iva McGregor. He graduated from Willamette High School in Eugene. He enlisted in the Army at age 17 and served in Vietnam. During his 20 years of service, he was awarded two Purple Hearts, an Air Medal with a 'V' device, and many other medals. Paul was one of the founding members of the Night Stalkers.

Paul married Emily Ziolkoski on June 23, 1969, in Eugene. Following Paul's retirement from the military, he moved to Clark Fork in 1985. He owned J&M Service, drove school buses and served on the city council. He enjoyed yardwork, fishing, hunting and collecting guns.

Paul is survived by his wife, Emily McGregor of Clark Fork; daughter, Michelle (Missy) Allen and spouse, PJ Allen; three grandchildren, AJ, James (spouse Lexi Molina), and Nicole Pasciuti; sister, Emma Jean McGregor of North Plat, Neb.; three brothers, Jimmy (spouse Christy) McGregor of LaPine, Ore., Melvin (spouse Stella) McGregor of Panhandle, Texas, and Michael McGregor of Laclede, Idaho. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive him.

His parents, son, Sydney McGregor, and great-grandson, Paul Louie Pasciuti, preceded him in death.
