FPC invites public to special services
While Pastor Andy Kennaly is on sabbatical, the congregation of the First Presbyterian Church invites the public to two special services.
On Sunday at 9:30 a.m., we welcome the Rev. Betsey and Eric Moe who serve as mission co-workers in the Presbyterian Church (USA) serving CEDEPCA (The Protestant Center for Pastoral Studies in Central America). Betsey is a minister member of the Presbytery of the Inland Northwest will speak on mission activities in Guatemala. Eric, a trumpet player with the Spokane Symphony and area brass ensembles, will provide special music including the old Shaker melody, “Simple Gifts.”
As an Earth Care Congregation, we will meet outdoors in the church’s Peace Garden on Sunday, July 30 at 9:30 a.m. Gary Jones will present his popular “Reprise on Meekness” message based upon the Beatitude, “Blesses are the meek.” A potluck brunch will follow this service.
Both services will take place at the First Presbyterian Church which has been located at the corner of Fourth Avenue and Alder Street in Sandpoint since 1907.
