Climate 'snake oil' can be slippery slope
I hate it when people just make stuff up to make a point. An example is a letter by Monte Heil, whose pushback against my own letter was rife with easily avoided misinformation.
Just one example: I pointed out that insurance companies (not Marxists) were pulling out of California due to climate extremes. Monte said no; they just want you to cut down trees near your home. He could have Googled it but didn’t.
I did. Insurance giants, such as State Farm, are abandoning California for the reason I stated. (cbsnews.com/sanfrancisco/news/state-farm-homeowners-insurance-california-premiums)
This is typical of the snake oil sold by climate deniers. But snake oil can be slippery. How does anyone who delays action on our single greatest threat sleep at night?
