SPD looking for hit-and -run suspect

The Sandpoint Police Department is asking for help locating a vehicle involved in a hit-and-run accident this past weekend.

On Sunday, between 2 a.m. and 2:45 a.m. in the 400 block of South Marion Street in Sandpoint, the victim was headed home in their wheelchair and was struck by an unknown vehicle. The driver quickly fled the scene, SPD officials said.

The victim is OK and has been released from the hospital, officials said.
