Basketball School of Sandpoint to host youth basketball camp

The Basketball School of Sandpoint is set to host their annual youth basketball camp at Kootenai Elementary School July 24-28.
Boys and girls ages 7 to 9 will have camp from 9 to 12 a.m.; boys and girls ages 10 to 16 will have camp from 1 to 4 p.m.
Campers will be grouped based on ability and taught fundamentals such as ball handling, passing, shooting, rebounding and defense. Campers will also participate in creative games, competitions, races and compete in various tournaments. Overall, the number one goal is to have fun.
The camp had 130 participants last summer, a number that continues to grow. Darren Laiche and son Austin Laiche, owners of the BSS, are excited for another year of working with the great young athletes of Sandpoint.
