| June 6, 2023 1:00 AM

The Pend Oreille Chorale will be presenting its 2023 spring concert, "Celebrating 30 Years of Free Community Concerts" this weekend.

Performances will be held at the First Lutheran Church, 526 S. Olive Ave., Sandpoint. Concerts will be held Friday, June 9, at 7 p.m. and Sunday, June 11, at 3 p.m.

As always, admission is free.

The chorale will share the program with instrumental chamber groups and soloists. Selkirk Brass, Sandpoint Saxophone Quartet, a string trio, a string quartet, flute and violin solos are included as well. Each half of the program will feature both the chorale and instrumental selections. Composers range from the 1500s to 2013, with two compositions by Mark Reiner.

"We are looking forward to presenting interesting musical fare with a big variety of styles," said chorale director Caren Reiner. "We hope there will be something to please everyone attending the concert."

Pend Oreille Chorale and Instrumentalists is an all volunteer group of musicians from North Idaho who are now in their 30th year of making and enjoying music together.
