BCSO investigating possible homicide

SAGLE — The Bonner County Sheriff's Office is investigating a possible homicide that occurred in the Bottle Bay area late last week.
Patrol deputies and Bonner County EMS responded to a report Friday, June 9, of a deceased male in the 8000 block of Bottle Bay Road in Sagle. When deputies arrived, they located Larry W. Johnson, 86, inside his residence.
The death is being investigated as a homicide by BCSO detectives, Bonner County Sheriff Daryl Wheeler said in a press release.
Assisting in the investigation are the Coeur d'Alene Police Department and the Idaho State Police. Those agencies assisted detectives with processing and imaging the crime scene.
The Bonner County Coroner is working with the Spokane County Medical Examiner's Office to help determine the exact cause and manner of death.
"Currently, the Sheriff’s Office is working diligently to solve this case," Wheeler said.
