SUMMARY OF CITY OF SANDPOINT ORDINANCE NO. 1405 Compensation of Municipal Officers AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SANDPOINT, A MUNICIPAL CORPORATION OF THE STATE OF IDAHO, AMENDING SANDPOINT CITY CODE TITLE 1, CHAPTER 6, SECTION 3, PROVIDING FOR MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL MEMBER COMPENSATION; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY; AND PROVIDING FOR PUBLICATION AND AN EFFECTIVE DATE. Following is a summary of the provisions of Ordinance No. 1405. Ordinance Section 1 amends Sandpoint City Code Title 1, Chapter 6, Section 3, Compensation of Municipal Officers, to reflect an increase in the Mayor’s compensation from $14,400 per annum, payable monthly, to $25,200 per annum, payable monthly, and an increase in Council members’ compensation from $4,800 per annum, payable monthly, to $9,000 per annum, payable monthly, and, additionally, provides an effective date of January 1, 2024, for these changes. Ordinance Sections 2 and 3 provide for repeal and severability, publication and an effective date.
