Pathway construction project starting

DOVER — Selland Construction began work on the Dover Pathway Connection project for the city of Dover on Monday. Work on the federal aid-funded project is expected to run through mid-September 2023.

The project includes 1,300 feet of multi-use pathway improving the connection of National Bike Route 10 to the city of Dover. Improvements also include attached asphalt and concrete sidewalk from Loretta Lane south and east to the intersection of Roosevelt Avenue and Third Street, and east to the intersection of Roosevelt Avenue and Railroad Avenue.

Officials said Selland Construction is communicating with residents and businesses in the project area. City officials said there is not expected to be any disruption to road travel for residents during this project.
