United Women of Faith sets yard sale
Are you among the many avid yard sale fans in the community who regularly check the signs posted at Boyer and Cedar? If so, you're going to want to check out the annual rummage sale on Saturday, June 24, at the United Methodist Church on that corner.
Doors open promptly at 8:30 a.m. and the sale begins to wrap up at 2 p.m. Some items will be on display outdoors at the entrance to the church. Housewares, home decorating items, furniture, and clothing for all ages are the main staples of this sale. As our regular customers know, nothing is priced. Purchase prices are determined by the buyer's good faith, knowing how the money will be used.
The Sandpoint unit of United Women of Faith (formerly United Methodist Women) holds this event annually to raise money for their support of global, regional and local mission work. Local support has been given to Bonner Gospel Mission, the Bonner Community Food Bank, Helping Hands, Bonner Homeless Task Force, quilts for babies at Bonner General, Blue Haven, the Sandpoint Senior Center, the Sandpoint Teen Center and other needs as they arise.
All women of any faith who share with us the desire to advocate for the oppressed and dispossessed with special attention to the needs of women, children and youth within a supportive community of women, are invited to participate with Sandpoint’s United Women in Faith. You may call the church office at 208-263-4232 for further information as to when and where they meet.
