Four dead in Kellogg shooting
Police in Shoshone County are investigating a shooting that left four people dead in Kellogg.
“The suspect has been detained and there is no threat to the community,” said the Shoshone County Sheriff’s Office on its Facebook page Sunday evening.
At about 7:20 p.m. Sunday, Shoshone County Dispatch received a 911 call indicating multiple people had been killed inside a residence in the 500 block of West Brown Avenue in Kellogg. When law enforcement officers arrived, they found four deceased individuals and detained a 31-year-old male believed to be connected with the deaths.
The incident reportedly occurred at the multi-dwelling units behind Mountain View Congregational Church on Cameron Avenue.
Kellogg Police Department and Idaho State Police are the primary investigating agencies.
“They will release more details as the investigation continues,” said the KCSO Facebook post.
The Kellogg Police Department requested ISP investigate the homicides, and detectives are en route to the residence.
Law enforcement believes everyone connected with this incident is accounted for, and there is no additional threat to the community.
This is an emerging incident and no further information is available.
The names of the victims and the suspect were not released Sunday.
