Following the Bonner County commissioners special Friday meeting, Commissioner Asia Williams has added an agenda item regarding streaming public meetings that are only given 24 hours of public notice.

An issue that she brought up at Friday’s meeting, Williams is requesting that short-notice meetings will also be available via livestream and Zoom. Additionally, Williams has also placed a discussion of severance checks on the agenda.

Commissioner Luke Omodt added to the agenda four letters of support for Kaniksu LLC’s grant application to expand broadband internet access to various parts of Bonner County.

Also on the agenda are discussions and monetary requests from the county prosecutor, airport, emergency management, justice services, and solid waste.

The meeting is set to end with two executive sessions, one regarding possible litigation and one regarding various human resource items. Executive sessions are closed to the public to give officials a chance to discuss confidential information; however, all decisions must be made in open session.

Bonner County commissioner meetings are held at the Bonner County administration building, 1500 U.S. 2 and livestreamed via YouTube. To access, visit Bonner County YouTube page at bit.ly/3NElj9X.
