LPOSD kicks off summer meal program
Lake Pend Oreille School District No. 84 is participating in the Summer Food Service Program.
Acceptance and participation requirements for the program and all activities are the same for all regardless of race, color, national origin, sex, age, or disability and there will be no discrimination in the course of the meal service. Meals will be provided at the sites and times as follows:
• Farmin Stidwell Elementary, 1626 Spruce St., Sandpoint; Monday-Friday, June 13-Aug. 18; 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. (Closed July 3-4).
• Sandpoint City Beach, Bridge Street, Sandpoint; Monday-Friday, July 5-Aug. 18; 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. (Located next to playground in grassy area).
USDA regulations require all free meals to be consumed on-site, in the designated eating area. The summer meal program is a federally funded grant that encourages feeding nutritious meals to all children during the summer months when school is not in session.
