School choice empowers parents to educate children

On June 8, 2023, Lee Santa wrote a Scott Herndon hit piece published as "My Turn". The most interesting thing I found in this submission is Lee Santa calling school choice "socialism."

This cannot be, Mr. Santa. School choice has the word "choice" in it, and as we all know, socialism, which Mr. Santa espouses, does not allow choice.

Socialism tells you where to live, work, and go to school; there is no worshipping, and certainly no personal opinions or free speech. No thinking for yourself. You let the socialist state do that for you.

School choice empowers parents to educate their children as they see fit. To make choices about their families. Choices that are guaranteed by the Constitution of the United States.

So no, Mr. Santa. Conservatives will not be triggered by you trying to label school choice as socialism. That would truly be a wolf in sheep's clothing.
