Debbie Delong

| June 20, 2023 1:00 AM

In the early morning hours of June 18, 2023, Debbie Delong passed away peacefully in her home, surrounded by her husband, Gordon, and her boys, Tyrel, Jesse and Jared.

Debbie Delong was born in Sagle, Idaho, on November 16, 1957, the second child of Rachel Mitchell and Wayne Thompson. She married Gordon on February 4, 1984, in Sidney, Mont.

Debbie Delong was an avid reader who loved to explore the outdoors of Idaho and Montana with her family and dogs. She was a proud member of the Iroquois nation. Though, her greatest joy came from being a loving wife and supportive mother. Her boys were her world.

Later in life, she devoted herself to her grandchildren, Leo, Lola and Caylee. As anyone that met her knew, she also showed motherly love not only to her own kids, but to her boys' friends and any younger person who needed her, welcoming anyone with open arms.

She is preceded in death by her fathers, Wayne Thompson and Ivan Montgomery, as well as her son, Jan Michael, and her grandmother, Mona.

Other than her husband and son; she is survived by her mother, Rachel Montgomery; her brothers, Mike (Kristi) Thompson and Chuck (Nikki) Thompson; her stepbrother, Morgan (Sally) Montgomery; and many other family members.

A gathering celebrating Debbie's life will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, June 24, at the home of Rachel Montgomery in Sagle, Idaho. All are welcome.
