June 27, 1973 – LUCKEY, ROBERTS WED
Miss Deborah Luckey became the bride of Dale Roberts June 9 at Calvary Baptist Church. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Luckey. Parents of the groom are Mrs. Vivian Willford, Cocolalla, and Arnold Roberts, Kootenai. Mr. and Mrs. Roberts are residing on West Pine St.

SHERYL BEST WED IN JUNE CEREMONY
Sheryl Best and Louis Kins exchanged marriage vows June 17 in the First Lutheran Church chapel. Sheryl, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jeb Best of Trestle Creek, graduated in 1972 from Clark Fork High School and completed a legal secretary course at Kinman Business University, Spokane. The groom, a graduate of Sandpoint High School and the son of Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Kins of Dover, attended the U of I two years before becoming an apprentice carpenter for a Spokane construction company. The couple will reside in Hayden Lake.

WOOLSEY IS 1973 GRASSMAN
Bill Woolsey, a Northside Hereford breeder, has been selected as 1973 Bonner County Grassman of the Year. Woolsey’s ranch supports 300 head of registered and commercial cattle and includes 350 acres of improved pastures and hay fields and 100 acres of dry native grasses. Woolsey has been active in community affairs and presently serves as president of the Bonner County Cattlemen’s Assn.

June 27, 1948 – SHORE FISHING’S GOOD
Sandpointers and local resort guests are taking good-sized cutthroats and Dollies along the shore of Contest point or from boats anchored along the N.P. railway bridge. Several Kamloops strikes were made by fishermen on Garfield Bay. Some resorts are still having high-water troubles, but rental boats are now available at nearly every landing on the lake.

Gordon Sundquist’s father came from Minnesota to visit. His mother has been here for two weeks.

NEWS FROM SAGLE
Mrs. William Brisboy spent Thursday with her daughter, Mrs. Chester Craig, while Mr. Brisboy worked on the John Day home.
Mrs. Dan Vanbuskirk of Eugene, Ore., arrived by bus Sunday to stay with Mrs. John Day, who arrived home from Boise that day by plane.
Mrs. Ruth Hustead is helping Mrs. Earl Sheffler by running the service station this week, since her two daughters are away on a visit.
