Legal Notice: The Board of Bonner County Commissioners is calling for letters of interest from persons in the Hope area who are interested in serving on the Waterways Advisory Board (WWAB). The WWAB, by statute, is responsible for reviewing funding requests to be spent in Bonner County out of the Idaho Waterways Improvement Fund. The WWAB also makes recommendations to the County Commissioners regarding county owned and managed facilities on our waterways. This is a seven (7) member board representing Lake Pend Oreille (Sandpoint, Hope, Priest River, Priest Lake, Garfield Bay and Peninsula areas and surrounding water bodies) with one (1) available seat from the Hope area. The Board of Commissioners is looking for residents who are registered boat owners very familiar with boating, waterway infrastructure (launches, docks, breakwaters), and varied water conditions and geography on Lake Pend Oreille (lake levels, depth, temps, hazards, weather) The WWAB currently meets quarterly on the third (3rd) Thursday at 9am at the Bonner County Administration Building. A pre-bid meeting will be held at City Hall on July 5, 2023, at 11:00 A.M. with a project walkthrough after the meeting.
