Peggy Pelz

Peggy Burkhart Pelz, 73, passed away Monday, Feb. 27, 2023, in Sandpoint, Idaho.

She will be laid to rest at the Pack River Cemetery.

Peggy was born June 11, 1949, in Osceola, Mo., to Archie and Loga Burkhart. She graduated from Osceola High School.

Peggy married John Pelz on March 23, 1978, in Wichita Falls, Texas. She did office work for eight years in Wichita Falls. In 1986, they moved to Sandpoint to get away from the tornados. She worked for Sandpoint Motor Company and Taylor-Parker Chevrolet for 29 years.

Peggy enjoyed reading, snowmobiling and chili cook-offs.

She is survived by her husband, John Pelz of Sandpoint; five sisters, Alice Carter of Clintwood, Va., Phillis Fricke of Weston, Mo., Jane Volkart of Belzoni, Miss., Joyce Burkhart of Bolivar, Mo., and Judy (Ted) Williamson of Bolivar; daughter, Marcy Kerr; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Roy Allen.
