Road limits continue in area
Road weight restrictions continue through much of the county, Bonner County Road and Bridge officials said Thursday.
As a reminder, a red flag or no flag on the sign indicates weight limits are in effect. A green flag indicates weight restrictions are imminent.
• District 1 (south of the Long Bridge) — All roads are posted with weight limits.
Birch Banks Road, Hanford Drive, Comeback Bay Lane and E. Comeback Bay Lane are posted no hauling, with the road open to regular residential traffic only. That means no trailers or loaded truck beds are allowed on those roads at this time.
• District 2 (Priest River/Priest Lake) — All roads south of Dickensheet and east of Highway 57, Eastside Road and roads south of the Pend Oreille River are posted green and will be posted with weight limits effective Friday night. All roads east of Priest River and Dufort Road are posted with weight limits. Roads north of Dickensheet and west of Highway 57 (Priest Lake/Coolin) are not posted at this time.
• District 3 (Sandpoint/Clark Fork) — all roads have been posted with weight limits.
Per county ordinance, it is the responsibility of the hauler to contact the Bonner County Road & Bridge Department to determine whether or not these restrictions are in place. The restrictions will remain in effect until changed, at which time updates will be posted.
