Road limits continue in county
Most of the county's roads are posted with weight limit restrictions.
In fact, only the roads north of Dickensheet and west of Priest Lake are not posted at this time, according to Bonner County Road and Bridge officials.
• District 1 (south of the Long Bridge) — All roads are posted with weight limits.
Birch Banks Road, Hanford Drive, Comeback Bay Lane and E. Comeback Bay Lane are posted with no hauling, with the road open to local residential traffic only. However, no trailers or loaded truck beds are allowed on those roads at this time.
• District 2 (Priest River/Priest Lake) — All roads with the exception of those north of Dickensheet and west of Priest Lake are posted with weight limits.
• District 3 (Sandpoint/Clark Fork) — All roads have been posted with weight limits.
As a reminder, a red flag or no flag on the sign indicates weight limits are in effect. A green flag indicates weight restrictions are imminent.
Per county ordinance, it is the responsibility of the hauler to contact the Bonner County Road & Bridge Department to determine whether or not these restrictions are in place. The restrictions will remain in effect until changed, at which time updates will be posted.
