James Kevin Loosemore, 64

James (Jim) Loosemore, 64, passed away peacefully Tuesday, March 14, 2023, at the Lifecare Center in Sandpoint, Idaho.

A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, March 28, 2023, at Pinecrest Memorial Park.

Jim was born Dec. 7, 1958, in Gary, Ind. After graduating from Chesterton High School in Chesterton, Ind., Jim worked as a third-generation steelworker at U.S. Steel.

In 1982, Jim moved to Laclede, Idaho, bought land on the side of a mountain and built a cabin. He later joined the Laclede Community Church and was grateful for its support, especially Pastor Dan Moore. Jim was an outdoorsman and loved adventure. He lived in Florida for a short time before settling in Idaho.

He is survived by siblings Carol, Tim and Rob.
