Siblings sweep first place at area ski races
SANDPOINT — Trennon Scherr, 11, and Ever “Sissy” Scherr, 7, won first place at the Schweitzer Snow Ghost Banked Slalom race and the Lookout Pass Final Ski Race recently.
This is the second year in a row that Trennon has won the Snow Ghost. Ever won three trophies in one weekend: first place in the slalom ski race at Lookout Pass, first in the GS race and first for the overall season.
“These kids love to ski and truly embrace what living in a ski mountain town has to offer. Their big smiles and welcoming, fun attitudes will have you hooked on skiing, too,” their mother, Tina Scherr, said.
Trennon and Ever’s father, Trevor, grew up in Sandpoint in a similar way, skiing at Schweitzer while his mother worked at the Alpine Shop for years, so his family could ski.
The brother-sister duo are passionate about skiing and said they are looking forward to more competitions in the future.
