All roads posted with weight limits
And then, there were none.
All of the county's road either are posted with road weight limits or will be in the near future, Bonner County Road and Bridge officials said Thursday.
• District 1 (south of the Long Bridge) — All roads are posted with weight limits.
Birch Banks Road, Hanford Drive, Comeback Bay Lane and E. Comeback Bay Lane are posted with no hauling, with the road open to local residential traffic only. However, no trailers or loaded truck beds are allowed on those roads at this time.
• District 2 (Priest River/Priest Lake) — All roads are posted with green flags, indicating that road limits are imminent. The road are expected to be posted with weight limits by Friday afternoon.
• District 3 (Sandpoint/Clark Fork) — All roads have been posted with weight limits.
As a reminder, a red flag or no flag on the sign indicates weight limits are in effect. A green flag indicates weight restrictions are imminent.
Per county ordinance, it is the responsibility of the hauler to contact the Bonner County Road & Bridge Department to determine whether or not these restrictions are in place. The restrictions will remain in effect until changed, at which time updates will be posted.
