Sandpoint Kiwanis Club will build a new secure 16 x 20 ft. reinforced concrete food service building at Camp Stidwell this year, and the old lodge building will be dismantled. A 20 x 42 ft. roof will cover the building and slab. Rafters will be salvaged from the old building, and roofing will be enameled steel. There will be a large door and window in each end, using heavy doors from the old post office building. The building will be along the main road into camp, about a block from the old lodge. The cost will be $800 plus salvaged materials from the old building, with an estimated 10 volunteer hours per member to complete the new building and remove the old.

ROSS HALL STUDIO FORMAL OPENING
Acknowledged as one of the finest studios in the Pacific northwest, the new Ross Hall Studios will have a formal opening Saturday, at which time staff members will be on hand to show all visitors through the building and explain what makes a photographic studio tick. The opening marks the achievement of an ambition Mr. and Mrs. Ross Hall have cherished for years. The studio was established in Sandpoint in 1905 by R.B. Himes. Hall came to Sandpoint 17 years ago to work for the Himes Studio, succeeding Mr. Himes, who died in 1931. Hall worked for Mrs. Himes until 1938, when he purchased the studio.
