Donna M. Murray, 89

| March 29, 2023 1:00 AM

Donna M. Murray, 89, passed away Wednesday, March 8, 2023, at her home in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho.

She was born June 7, 1933, in Seattle, Wash. She and her brother, Perry (now deceased), were raised by their mother, Ruth Treat.

Donna is survived by three living children, Mark (Joy), Kathleen (Dan), and Therese (Paul). She has now joined her deceased son, Steve, in Heaven. Donna is also survived by eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

A big part of Donna's life, the "first act," was spent in Priest River, Idaho, raising her four children with first husband Jim and the rest of the Murray clan. She worked hard and was very involved with motherhood, strong friendships and the wonderful sense of community you get when living in a smalltown setting. After most of her kids had graduated from high school Donna and Jim spent time living and working in Kenai, Alaska.

In Donna's "second act," she moved to Lake Havasu City, Ariz., and resided there from 1986 to 2022. It was a bold move and one she never regretted. She worked as a Realtor and was very successful. She was highly respected in the real estate community for decades. Her family visited regularly and felt thankful that she had found such happiness.

During her time in Havasu, Donna met and married her second husband, Wesley Mularz, in 1998. Wesley had three children and five grandchildren. In time, his family would give him great-grandchildren as well. This union made the family quite big and lots of fun was had by all. They were happily married until Wesley's passing in 2007.

After retiring and Wesley's passing, Donna began spending several months each year in Idaho. She would stay at her daughter's house in Priest Lake. This allowed her to get back to her roots and connect with family and friends. She did this for so long it would be fair to say that she had two homes. It was such a blessing because she was able to spend time in the two places that had the most impact on her through the course of her life.

One of the most defining things about Donna was the people she had in her life and the relationships she built with them. One of her biggest gifts was to love with her whole heart. She loved and was loved by so many. Anyone who knew Donna would be left with an imprint from her that would change them in some way forever.

God rest her soul.
