How can you trust public officials these days?

| March 30, 2023 1:00 AM

I took a couple of weeks of vacation and the impossible occurred. That's right, I agreed with both Carrie Logan and Lee Santa. Just prior to admitting myself for an MRI of my brain, I reread them and by golly, I still agree.

Lee: The problem with our medical system was brought on by Obamacare, which allows insurance companies to pass on huge costs to the insured patient. So if the victim doesn't have the deductible, they aren't getting care — period.

In fact, if you get admitted to the hospital but can't pay your share, they can legally pull your IV and send you to jail, no matter how sick you are. Every cancer treatment also rolls up huge deductibles — they also can have you thrown in jail for being in debt while dying. It is really unacceptable.

Also, the entire pharma culture took its eyes off the ball by shifting research toward making little boys into little girls.

Medical care is for the rich and trans only now. Too bad if you aren't wealthy.

As for the Curve - yes, it was wisely voted down years ago. The people that are working without concern for the citizens are the mayor and the city administrator. Miraculously, they are in lockstep again but never make public statements about their duplicitous goings-on. I thought the Dub's purchase was just giving city money to their friends, but it apparently kicked off an underground movement to wreck the city for two years again.

It's hard to trust these elected officials anymore, but I never really did.
