Sydney Webb named grand champion at ATA National Championship
BOSTON – Black Bear Martial Arts sent four individuals to compete at the ATA National Championship in Boston on Saturday, March 18. Sydney Webb, Savanna Webb, Dolly Webb, and Ryan Webb all placed in at least one event at the tournament.
At the tournament, Sydney Webb defeated an adult master, 5-1, to place first out of all divisions (including adult and masters) in women’s sparring.
“What a great representation for Black Bear Martial Arts in Boston,” head instructor Darren Tetachuk said.
Sydney Webb (U17 Black Belt) — Board breaking, second place; forms, first place; sparring, first place.
Dolly Webb (U17 Green Belt) — Forms, second place
Ryan Webb (Adult Red Belt) — Board breaking, second place; forms, second place, sparring, first place.
Savanna Webb (Age 18-35 Black Belt) — Forms, third place; sparring, second place.
