County Assessor stepping down after four months due to health issues

Bonner County Assessor Grant Dorman announced Tuesday morning that he is resigning from the position on June 2 – just four months after being sworn in.

Dorman said recently discovered health issues will prevent him from giving the job his complete dedication.

“The public cannot be properly served by one who finds themself unable to give the position their full attention,” he said.

Dorman offered his assistance in any way needed as the county searches for a new assessor to fill his absence in the next three weeks.
