Until you know, vote no on WBCSD levy
I want to know why certain West Bonner County School District administrators are threatening to run recall campaigns against our board members who have been looking into the finances of the school district and are getting the run-around from the administration. That smells fishy.
It’s also suspicious that the recall elections were threatened at the very same time the school board was voting on whether or not to put a levy on the ballot. I’m thankful that Susan Brown and Keith Rutledge had the courage to stand up to the bullying, including threats of harm, and demand that the residents of the West Bonner County School District get an outside audit before we get another levy. I want to know where all the money is going.
So I’m going to stand with Keith and Susan and vote “no” on the proposed levy this May. We need a third-party audit of school district spending first. If the audit comes back clean, and shows we really do need a levy, then maybe I’ll vote for it. Until then, no way. Based on the threats that were made, I have a feeling an audit probably isn’t going to come back clean. Vote no on May 16.
