WBCSD students deserve our complete support
It's levy time, as we all know. I hope you've been paying attention to the news about the fact that we're not the only school district facing funding problems.
Even though Idaho is upping the ante of funding, it is nowhere near to being enough. That's where we come in. It is so critical to support our schools. The students are the future. Do not deprive them of the education they deserve. That includes extracurricular activities that are so very critical to them becoming outstanding adults. To us older folks, I ask that you support with a yes vote. We enjoyed all that our schools offered along with our children. Not the grandkids and great-grandkids are the recipients. Don't take away what they deserve.
Passing the levy is not different from when we were working, we needed a raise in pay. It's the same scenario. The district is not wasting money like some of you think. They are spending as needed. We may not totally agree with all of it, but for the most part, they are doing okay. An audit is not necessary, especially a forensic one. That's someone's grouchy inner self coming out. Our interim superintendent is a top-notch educator. She won't do anything that is not aboveboard. The most important thing is to voice your opinion by voting. Please, please, make yourself get out and vote. It's critical.
Hopefully, you'll join me with an astounding yes vote.
