What is going on with streets?

What the heck is going on? In this town, there was once an ordinance that required a 50-foot lot to build on. Now I see houses being built in backyards not a spitting distance from the existing house. Well, this will certainly add to the tax base.

Yippee, with more tax revenue, our California City Council and city planners will be able to plan more grandiose projects for our one-time little logging community,  to become more like downtown L.A. Yes, with four- and five-lane roadways, and large roundabouts,  where the traffic light is functioning well, and a diagonal street up through somewhere. 

Yes, with more money we can do it. Let the good times roll.
