HALLOWEEN PRANKS KEPT POLICE BUSY
By and large, the Halloween pranks this year were not as numerous or destructive as in years past. There were a number of groups of youngsters out, but little vandalism was reported. The little folk were out “tricking or treating” Saturday night [Oct. 30]. Sunday, in spite of the rain, the older youngsters observed the traditional privilege of soaping windows, tipping garbage cans and removing gates. A band of boys has caused much damage in the residential district near Lakeview park, with 50 or 60 street lights broken in the last week.
