East Bonner County Library District in turmoil

The EBCL was in serious disarray in October and administration failed to provide the public services expected.

Patrons, and I mean dozens of them complained to staff of denial of library services, and staff were helpless to address the numerous IT system failures this October 2023 that hampered full use of the library we patrons are paying for. 

Apparently EBCL wished to cancel its IT contract service provider, only to find out the contract was automatically renewed and we taxpayers get stuck paying the bill because the board/director did not read the contract they signed. During several weekly visits, Wi-Fi services were down for over a week, hotspot internet connectivity repeatedly failed, printer services were out of order, catalog systems failed, and library website updates were non-existent.
