ITD seeks input on U.S. 95 project
SAGLE — Lane construction has finally ended near the Long Bridge and into Sagle — however, the Idaho Department of Transportation’s construction plans aren’t done yet and the team is already planning its next project for the area.
The community is invited to learn more about ITD’s upcoming plans for Highway 95 between Dufort Road and Lakeshore Drive as ITD staff said community input is important. While projects on this portion of road were completed in 1999 and 2010, continued growth is necessitating even more work to be done to the area.
“Recent growth, congestion and safety issues … between Dufort Road and Lakeshore Drive has prompted ITD to revisit plans for future improvements,” the ITD website said.
The department is hoping to show residents ITD’s proposed plans for the section of highway as well as receive input from area residents. Those comments will be used to help guide upgrades it needs for those who drive that road on a daily basis.
Interested parties are invited to stop into the Northern Lights Inc. office, located at 421 Chevy St., in Sagle on Thursday, Nov. 16, between 4 and 7 p.m. to learn more and give feedback. Information on the upcoming projects can also be found online Nov. 17-30 and comments can be left electronically through the website.
