Linda Lee Dallmann, 74

| November 7, 2023 1:00 AM

Linda Dallmann passed away peacefully Sunday, Oct. 29, 2023, at the age of 74, after bravely fighting cancer for over 20 years.

Born in Milwaukee, Wis., on Jan. 4, 1949, she spent most of her childhood and early years in Wisconsin and Southern California before moving to Sandpoint, Idaho, in 1980.

A loving mother, grandmother, wife, sister, and friend, Linda was a creative spirit who could most often be found doing what she loved best — nurturing and helping others. That suited her well in her long career as an elementary school teacher in Sandpoint.

As a teacher and the author of two children’s books, as well as an active member of the community, Linda leaves a legacy that will continue to radiate in the world through all those she taught and helped.

Behind that was a woman who loved to cook, read, work in the garden, and laugh. A life-long lover of music, she could be found playing the piano or singing along to her favorite old records.

She is survived by her loving husband, Robert “Bobb” Vetromile; children, Liana Barron, William Gorter, and Michael Vetromile; brother, Stever Dallmann; and grandchildren, Chase and Hamilton Gorter, and Abigail Vetromile.

In lieu of flowers or a memorial service Linda wished to have donations sent in her name to the Susan G. Koman foundation or American Cancer Society.

Family and friends are invited to sign Linda’s online guest book at www.coffeltfuneral.com.

Arrangements are under the care of Coffelt Funeral Service.
