Sandpoint man injured in collision

HAYDEN — Idaho State Police are investigating a vehicle collision that occurred Friday afternoon near Lancaster Road and U.S. 95.

A 29-year-old Athol man was traveling westbound on Lancaster Road at about 3:10 p.m. in a Toyota Tundra through the intersection with U.S. 95. A 74-year-old Sandpoint male was northbound on an e-bike when he crossed onto Lancaster Road and was impacted by the Toyota Tundra.

The 74-year-old male was transported to a local hospital by ground ambulance. The man's next of kin were notified.

This incident remains under investigation by the Idaho State Police.

Traffic for westbound Lancaster Road and northbound US 95 intersection were blocked for approximately 2 hours.
