Geezer Forum being held today

| November 14, 2023 1:00 AM

SANDPOINT — Today's Geezer Forum will take a look at service and how the various agencies and frontline support groups help others in the community.

A total of eight services will be highlighted at the forum, which is being held Tuesday, Nov. 14, at 2:30-4:30 p.m.

The speakers come from a diverse selection of service agencies: Community Meals, Food Bank, Bonner Community Hospice, Auburn Crest Hospice, Ombudsman program of the Area Agency on Aging, Parkinson’s Support, SASI (Sandpoint Senior Center) and Senior Companions.

The people representing each of the eight groups will speak briefly (10 minutes each) about the service agency or frontline support group that they represent.

To allow for the groups to speak, today's Geezer Forum has been extended in time and will end at 4:30 p.m. — 30 minutes later than its normal 4 p.m. dismissal time. This will allow an extended conversations with the forum's speakers.

Geezer Forum is hosted by Paul Graves, writer of “Dear Geezer” in The Daily Bee. It is sponsored by Elder Advocates, a consulting ministry on aging issues.
