Man dies after Friday collision

HAYDEN — A Sandpoint man has passed away from injuries received during a Friday afternoon near Lancaster Road and U.S. 95, Idaho State Police said Sunday.
The 74-year-old man was northbound on an e-bike when he crossed onto Lancaster Road and was impacted by the Toyota Tundra driven by a 29-year-old Athol man. The Tundra driver was traveling westbound on Lancaster Road at about 3:10 p.m. in a Toyota Tundra through the intersection with U.S. 95.
The 74-year-old male was transported to a local hospital by ground ambulance. The man's family has been notified.
This incident remains under investigation by the Idaho State Police.
Traffic for westbound Lancaster Road and northbound U.S. 95 intersection were blocked for approximately 2 hours.
