School board to meet today

PONDERAY — Lake Pend Oreille School District trustees will be meeting today to review revisions of policy, observe presentations and consider action items.

The board is slated to discuss the Idaho School Board Association’s proposed 2024 resolutions, revisions to policy regarding public works, custodial funds for school fiduciary activity and an authorization for Forrest M. Bird Charter School, among other items. 

The board will also observe student presentations from LPOSD’s Homeschool Academy and Hope Elementary School.

First readings of policy will include revisions to a public works contracting & procurement policy and a public procurement of goods & services.

The board will also consider authorization for Forrest M. Bird Charter School following a  presentation that will cover school demographics, a financial audit report, and student ISAT scores.

The meeting will take place today at 5 p.m. at the LPOSD district office, 901 Triangle Drive, Ponderay.
