Sandpoint gives thanks
SANDPOINT — From recently elected officials to long-term public servants, the city of Sandpoint is giving thanks today.
Jeremy Grimm, future mayor of Sandpoint, said he has many things to be thankful for this year.
“I am deeply grateful for my loving family, the privilege to live in this country and for the opportunity to serve our engaged community who is invested in its future,” Grimm said.
Planning and zoning commissioner Amelia Boyd said she is most thankful for the health and wellbeing of family and friends.
“As a planning and zoning commissioner, I am most thankful for our city staff for all of the work they put in day after day,” she said. “I vehemently appreciate their professionalism and continued support for the commission.”
Sandpoint City Council member Deb Ruehle also expressed her gratitude.
“I’m thankful for family and all my lovely friends in this community, and the generosity of the people of Sandpoint and the surrounding area,” she said.
Councilor Jason Welker contributed things he is grateful for this season as well.
“I am thankful for our awesome local businesses that make holiday shopping in Sandpoint so easy and fun,” he said. “Shout out to Zach and Hannah at Alpine Shop, Jenny and her crew at Outdoor Experience, and Charles at Syringa Cyclery, along with many other local business owners.”
