Roberta Mae Crabb, 94, passed away peacefully at her home in Sagle, Idaho, on Sunday morning, Nov. 12, 2023.

Roberta was born May 2, 1929 in Allentown, Pa., to Clifford L. Knerr and Roberta Mae Knerr. When she was 15 her family moved to California, and opened a service station on Route 66. There she met the love of her life, Herman C. Crabb from North Idaho.

On April 25, 1949, the two were married in Kernville, Calif. In 1955, they headed north to Idaho and bought property to homestead in Sagle, where they raised their family.

Roberta enjoyed gardening, she had a large vegetable garden and numerous flowerbeds. She loved tending her gardens, canning and preserving her harvest. Quilting and sewing were her passions. She spent many winters making quilts for her family.

Family was extremely important to Roberta. She enjoyed her family and friends, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Roberta was a longtime member of the Community of Christ Church in Sagle.

Roberta is survived by three children, Bruce (Jo Ann) Crabb, Bert Crabb, and Candy (Pat) Moon; seven grandchildren, Jacque (Toby) Gladwell, Ryan (Lisa) Crabb, Charlena (Vernon) Burke, Angie (Matt) Brass, Nikki (Aaron) Vierra, Chrissy (Coy) McKitrick, and Matt Ross; 16 great-grandkids, and one great-great grandson; two sisters, Beatie Bandy, and Paulie Marcy; a brother, Butch Knerr; and multiple nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, her parents, one brother, two sisters, a son, a grandson, and a great-grandson.

Funeral services will be held at Coffelt’s Moon Chapel on Saturday, Dec. 2, 2023, 11 a.m. Randal Ponder will conduct the services. A potluck reception will follow at Sagle Senior Center, 650 Monarch Road, Sagle.
