Diane Marie Lynch, 82

Diane Marie Lynch, 82, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 1, 2023, in Sandpoint, Idaho.

Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, July 8, 2024, at the Lakeview Funeral Home.

Diane was born April 19, 1941, in Great Falls, Mont., to Joe and Ruth Ross. She grew up in Creighton, Mo., and later graduated from Lewis and Clark High School in Spokane, Wash., in 1959. She attended Sandpoint School of Hair Design.

Diane married Don Lynch on Feb. 10, 1962, in Sandpoint. She owned and operated her own beauty shop. Later, she purchased Sandpoint School of Hair Design.

After retirement, Diane and Don volunteered as camp hosts at Robinson Lake Campground in the summer and wintered in Clarkston, Wash., and volunteered for the Army Corps of Engineers.

She enjoyed sewing, genealogy and birding. 

She is survived by her three sons, Doug (Wendy) Lynch of Sandpoint, Dan (Carolyn) Lynch of Sandpoint, and David (Melody) Lynch of Sandpoint; 11 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandson. Also surviving are her two sisters, Karyn Ross of Tucson, Ariz., and Elaina Ross of Vancouver, Wash.; and one brother Steve Ross of Massachusetts.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Don Lynch, twin sister Doreen Anderson, and brother David Ross.
