Marlene June Colvin, 89, passed away peacefully Tuesday, Sept. 19, 2023, in San Diego, Calif., at Scripps Mercy Hospital.

A memorial service will be held at Grace Assembly Church in San Diego, Calif., on Sunday afternoon, Oct. 8, at 2:30 p.m. For those interested in watching the live stream, you will find it at the following URL: https:www.revmediatv.com/channel/grace-assembly-san-diego.

Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 14, 2023, at the Hope, Idaho, cemetery with Pastor Gerald Cooley officiating.

Marlene was born June 24, 1934, in Santa Rosa, N.M., to Otis and Pauline Hart. She grew up and attended schools in Hope, Idaho, and Noxon, Mont., where she graduated from high school.

Marlene married Bill Colvin on April 19, 1954 in Covina, Calif., where they both attended Covina Assembly of God. She worked for the Aerojet Corporation near Covina and later for General Dynamics in San Diego. She retired in 1993. She and Bill began spending their summers at the family home on Eagen Mountain in Hope. Marlene had many friends and enjoyed golfing, hiking, boating and especially gardening. She and Bill were proud of their “Garden of Eagen,” which won special recognition at the Bonner County Fair. She attended Grace Assembly Church in San Diego, pastored by her brother-in-law and sister, Jolene and Gerald Cooley; and Living Waters Lutheran Church in Clark Fork, Idaho.

Marlene is survived by her two sisters, Mary Hart and Jolene Cooley (Gerald Cooley spouse), all of San Diego, Calif.; as well as several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and husband, Bill Colvin.
