Reinbold will lead WBCSD in the right direction

| October 15, 2023 1:00 AM

Don’t let money be the deciding factor in the decision of liberty and sound academics in education for our kids. There is such a huge difference in the candidates for school trustee in Zone 3.

Troy Reinbold is for demonstrated accountability of the school budget before a Levy is passed. He feels that it should be based on sound budgeting. People with enough money to not be concerned about taxes can donate all the money they want to the district without a levy.

Troy is also a champion for parental rights with biological bathrooms and proper locker room use. He was instrumental in the newly adopted WBCSD policy that reinforces this. Despite the low test scores and graduation rate, our district has the strongest policy in the state in support of biological sex.

On the other side is his opponent, who has supported the levy even though the audit showed the books were a mess. Have you noticed how extracurricular activities are going on as usual? We also presently have adequate staff, which makes it clear that the levy was not necessary at the time it was proposed. So the bookkeeping and published budget numbers that said we needed a $4.7 million levy were false.

Troy strongly backed and continues to back the forensic audit. It will allow us to get our books cleaned up so we can know if and how much of a levy we will need in the future.

On Nov. 7, vote for Troy Reinbold for Zone 3 to continue this responsible direction.
