First Lutheran creates quilts for mission group

On Oct. 15, the Women of First Lutheran Church dedicated 57 quilts for Lutheran World Mission. The quilts will be distributed to areas of need all over the world, Pastor Barbara Rolph said. In upcoming events, the church will be holding a prayer vigil for peace on Thursday, Oct. 26, from 2-4:30 p.m. in the church's chapel for a time of individual contemplation. A prayer for peace service will be held following the vigil at 5:30 p.m., Rolph said.
