Ever wondered about the creatures that lurk in the Pine Street Woods just out of sight?

This Saturday, join Kaniksu Land Trust on a haunted walk for their Spooky Spirits and Stories event to learn just what those creatures do when no one’s around. This family-friendly event is safe for most ages.

“The spooky level is not high, but more magical and mystical,” said Kaniksu staff member Brianna Larson.

Follow a narrator through the woods as they tell the tales of all that live in the forest. Actors will be placed throughout the trail to enhance the storyline. While the trail will not be completely dark, Larson said it will be dim enough to feel spooky. Each walk will last roughly 15-20 minutes.

Face painting will be available for children as well as hot cocoa and cider to keep guests warm. Attendees are welcome to wear costumes if they choose.

The event, which will take place from 7 to 9 p.m., is free to the public, although donations are greatly appreciated.
