Dentist to buy back Halloween candy

| October 29, 2023 1:00 AM

SANDPOINT — Sandpoint Kids Dentistry wants no tricks, but all treats, during its Halloween candy buy back next week.

Kids can earn a dollar for every pound of Halloween candy they sell, with a $5 limit. All candy will be donated by Sandpoint Kids Dentistry’s Dr. Amanda Caswell Burt to troops overseas via Soldiers’ Angels’ Treats for Troops program.

Treats for Troops is a Halloween candy collection program where local businesses and organizations register to collect excess Halloween candy,” program officials said on the Soldiers’ Angels website. “In most cases, collection sites accept excess Halloween candy from kids in exchange for goodies, once trick-or-treating season is over.

The event will be taking place Nov. 1 and 2 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m at Sandpoint Kids Dentistry, 1212 N. Division Ave. Costumes are welcome.
